Mid 19th century Italian gilt wood sofa. The top rail formed of bold S-scrolls carved with acanthus, surmounted by two carved shells. The upholstered arms are scrolled and fronted with carved acanthus. The legs and rails carved with acanthus and shells. Upholstered in an interesting green silk with an armorial to the back. A very nice shape and country house condition
